Kilmer receives lifetime achievement award for work in ag economics
IFAS Food and Resource Economics Professor Richard Kilmer has received the 2007 Southern Agricultural Economics Association’s lifetime achievement award for enduring contributions to the agricultural economics profession.
He received the award Feb. 5 at the group’s annual meeting in Mobile, Ala. It is the organization’s highest award.
Kilmer has been at UF since 1977, teaching and conducting research in the marketing of dairy products, citrus and vegetables.
The SAEA’s goal is to foster understanding of agricultural economics, specifically its application to problems in the southern United States.
